Warehouse Management System
Manhattan Associates Warehouse Management System iSeries which
resides on an IBM platform provides Costa Logistics and its clients
a reliable and scalable solution.
Manhattan Associates Warehouse Management System (WMS) is the
leading software in the industry. WMS manages a wide range of
processes associated with receiving inventory into the warehouse,
tracking it, and shipping it to customers. It also has many
functions for managing the work in the warehouse, including wave
generation processes.
WMS manages the day-to-day operations of the warehouse and easily
integrates with other business applications, such as order
processing systems, which perform high-level order allocation and
forecasting and retain shipping histories.
It also provides order verification processes, which ensure 100
percent order accuracy. You can enter routing guide information in
Warehouse Management, as well as carton size, weight, and cube
information.
Flexible and stable architecture on the IBM iSeries allows us to
easily implement the software to address specific your requirements
without making expensive code modifications to the base product.
This configurability reduces costs and implementation time, while
it also simplifies the upgrade process.
Supply Chain Intelligence (SCI)
Manhattan Associates Supply Chain Intelligence provides a
comprehensive KPI reporting and report publishing tool enabling
sophisticated reporting of performance internally and to the client
across multiple sites. This is vital for establishing an internal
focus on performance and cost, and for providing timely and
accurate information to clients. SCI has powerful capabilities
for:
- Automated KPI Reporting.
- Dashboards.
- Performance Scorecards.
- Custom Reporting.
- Ad-hoc Queries
- Pro-active event and alert management
- Detail analytics including advanced charting and graphing
capabilities, integration with MS Office and mobile access via
Blackberry, Windows Mobile or Symbian.
Using the latest IBM server technology and based on an Oracle
Data Warehouse, dashboard reporting gives a snapshot of our
performance within each of the Distribution Centers, both at a
macro and micro level. With the ability to drill down by state,
distribution centre; client and further by functional area or
store, graphical charts are available based on current and
historical data, which makes for easy trend and performance
analysis. The ability to export reports as PDF, Excel for further
analysis, allows both our client, and Costa Logistics to make more
informed decisions to improve operational productivity.
Supply Chain Intelligence gives us insight into the performance
of our supply chain. With easy-to-read, customizable reports
presenting powerful analytics, we can monitor the performance of
key elements of our operation over time from one intuitive
workbench. For critical events, Supply Chain Intelligence will send
an alert to an email, BlackBerry, mobile phone so we know when key
conditions or exceptions are about to occur and we can respond
quickly to avoid trouble.
It allows us to share data, alert functions, views and reports
across our business and with our customers and partners. We are
able to specify who receives which capabilities and distribute the
information across the Web, through Microsoft Office (Microsoft
Excel, PowerPoint or Word) or to BlackBerry devices without needing
to specially reformat the data for the BlackBerry's smaller
form-factor.
For our operational management users who need to quickly get
access to information not part of a standard view they are able to
quickly and easily perform ad hoc querying of any data within SCI's
extensive data warehouse.
Combined with operational visibility and event management,
Supply Chain Intelligence offers us even greater ability to manage
our logistics operations efficiently and quickly by providing the
insights and capabilities we need.
This level of service increases our businesses agility and
adaptability within our marketplace by improving productivity and
customer service.
Billing Management
Manhattan Associates 3rd Party Billing is an absolute necessity for
clients to provide accurate billing information out of our system.
The base customer expectations of a 3rd Party Logistics
Provider are:
- Billing based on flexible contracts.
- Track and bill based on storage and activity.
- Varying of billing based on level of service.
- Total invoices broken down by site and service.
- Ability to record and invoice for on-line non-system
tasks.
Needless to say complete and sophisticated reporting, and the
ability to invoice clients accurately based on contract rates and
activity is a capability we currently have.
